James Geddes
James was admitted to practise as a Barrister and Solicitor in South Australia in 2005. He was subsequently admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court and Federal Court later the same year.
James commenced working with a large commercial law firm in its Insurance Division in 2004 as a Clerk, working part-time whilst completing his studies. He then commenced full time employment as a Solicitor immediately with that firm upon graduating with his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from the University of Adelaide at the end of 2004.
James worked at several commercial law firms in Adelaide between 2004 and 2012, specialising in insurance and litigation. In 2012 he took up a role at a large utility company first as its Insurance Manager, then later as its Principal Solicitor. He joined BDK Lawyers in August 2021 as Special Counsel.
