BDK Lawyers was formed in 2007 consequent upon the merger of W.G. Botten and Associates and Dnistriansky Kellis Lawyers. Its current directors are Andrew Dnistriansky and Stephen Kellis.

 

The legal providers of BDK Lawyers have extensive experience in Insurance Litigation from both a defence and prosecution perspective. They have collectively been involved in some of South Australia’s most significant and widely publicized pieces of Insurance Litigation (including class actions).

 

Over the years, the legal staff of BDK Lawyers have represented a diverse range of insurers, self-insured organizations and mercantile agents. They have longstanding experience and expertise in undertaking common law personal injury recovery actions for Return to Work Corporation of SA and self insured organisations for workers' compensation purposes. 

 

Despite having an extensive history of representing insurers, the legal staff of BDK Lawyers have also represented numerous individuals pursuing personal injury and property damage claims (in addition to debt recovery actions) as well as representing individuals, businesses and corporations with respect to commercial/civil disputes.

 

The legal staff of BDK Lawyers have extensive Court/Tribunal experience, having represented clients in the Federal Court of Australia (South Australia Registry), Supreme Court of South Australia, District Court of South Australia, various South Australian based Magistrates Courts, Workers Compensation Tribunal of South Australia and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (South Australia Registry). 

 

Andrew and Stephen, in particular, have had an active role in the insurance industry including membership with the Australian Insurance Law Association (SA Branch), of which Andrew was formerly the Secretary of as well as Committee Member.
